ART Grand Prix has announced that Jack Aitken will drive for the team in the 2017 GP3 season, moving over from Arden.
Aitken made the step up to GP3 last year, finishing fifth in the overall standings with one win and seven podium finishes.
He also joined the Renault Sport Academy in 2016 and remains on the junior programme for the upcoming season.
A previous Formula Renault 2.0 Alps and Eurocup champion, Aitken drove for ART at the end-of-season GP3 test last year in Abu Dhabi.
“Not much needs to be said about ART Grand Prix and their time in GP3, the results are there for everyone to see,” he said.
“Moving up from FR2.0 was a good step last year, but now we have to look at winning and nothing less.
“I'm also looking forward to learning as much as possible in a team that has produced many F1 drivers over the years, and continuing my effort to reach the highest level in motorsport.
“The season can't start soon enough.”
Sun Yue Yang also remains on the Renault Sport Academy for 2017, joined by newcomers Max Fewtrell and Jarno Opmeer – all three will race in Eurocup FR 2.0 this year.
