Felipe Massa says that Jaguar's Formula E car was "completely different" to anything he has previously driven after completing a maiden test with the British manufacturer earlier this week.
Jaguar confirmed last week that Massa would be testing its Formula E car after receiving a request for the series to run the Brazilian, using one of its allocated development days for season four.
Massa had been considering a move into Formula E before being lured out of Formula 1 retirement by Williams for the 2017 season following Valtteri Bottas' surprise move to Mercedes.
Speaking about the Formula E test, Massa was thankful for the chance with Jaguar and noted how different the experience was to those of driving other cars.
"I would like to thank Panasonic Jaguar Racing for giving me this opportunity," Massa said.
"It was great to experience a Formula E car as it’s something completely different to anything I’ve driven previously.
"The different power, brakes, tyres and downforce mean it requires quite a different driving style. I’m happy with the experience and what I have learnt.
"Overall, it’s been a really fun day."
Massa's test could be a pre-cursor to a full-time move into Formula E at the end of 2017, should he opt to quit F1 for good and depart Williams following the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on November 26.
With the F1 finale taking place at the end of November, Massa would be able to start the new Formula E campaign along with the rest of the grid should the series' plan to kick off the new season in Hong Kong at the start of December be put into action.
