Jordan Taylor set the pace for Wayne Taylor Racing during a disjointed final practice session for the Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway.

Taylor posted a 1:36.970 time to put the #10 Cadillac DPi V.R. on top of the timesheets in the final 60 minute shakedown before the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship opener on January 28-29.

The first came when Toni Vilander stopped the GTLM-class Ferrari 488 entered by Risi Competizione on-track with oil spewing from the rear of the car.

A second stoppage was caused by the DAC Motorsports Lamborghini Huracan which came to a halt upon re-rentry to the tri-oval.

When track action did resume, Nicolas Lapierre set the second quickest time overall in the ORECA 07-Gibson run by DragonSpeed, with a 0.276 second gap to Taylor.

Christian Fittipaldi followed up in third with a 1:38.152 effort behind the wheel of the pole-sitting Action Express Cadillac DPi.

Completing the top five in Prototype were Neel Jani in the Rebellion Racing ORECA, and Rene Rast driving the Visit Florida Racing Riley Mk.30.

In GTLM, Ford Chip Ganassi Racing continued its trend of pacing every session at Daytona with Joey Hand setting the fastest lap in class.

Driving the pole-sitting #66 Ford GT, Bourdais produced a benchmark time of 1:43.490 to lead the session.

Dirk Werner came close to disrupting the Ford ascendancy in the #911 Porsche 911 RSR, but ultimately fell 0.053 seconds short.

Gustavo Yacaman topped Prototype Challenge in the BAR1 Motorsports ORECA FLM09, whilst Andrea Caldarelli paced the field in GT Daytona as Lamborghini and Mercedes shared out the top five fastest times.

The 55th running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona gets underway tomorrow (January 28)
