Joao Barbosa topped the timesheets during second practice for the Rolex 24 at Daytona as Action Express Racing led another 1-2-3 for the Cadillac DPi V.R.
Barbosa – who shares the car with Christian Fittipaldi and Filipe Albuquerque this weekend – set an initial benchmark of 1:38.549 that stood for the entirety of the brief 30 minute session.
The session had to be cut short with 10 minutes to go when Loïc Duval pitched the DragonSpeed ORECA 07 into the tyre wall at turn one, bringing out the red flags.

Second quickest during FP2 was Ricky Taylor, who posted a time of 1:38.726 behind the wheel of the #10 Wayne Taylor Racing car. Defending series champion Dance Cameron completed the Cadillac 1-2-3 in the sister Action Express machine, albeit 1.5 seconds off the overall pace.
Despite his crash, Duval still finished quickest of the non-DPi runners with a 1:40.511 effort aboard the DragonSpeed ORECA, whilst the identical JDC-Miller Motorsports car driven by Stephen Simpson rounded out the top five.
In GTLM, Olivier Pla led the way for the second consecutive session in the #68 Ford GT.
The Frenchman's time of 1:44.245 was enough to edge out Giancarlo Fisichella in the Risi Competizione Ferrari 488 by 0.288 seconds.
Making it three manufacturers in the top three positions in GTLM was Patrick Pilet in the best-placed Porsche 911 RSR.
Porsche also topped the GT Daytona category, with Patrick Lindsey going quickest in the Park Place Motorsports machine. The Prototype Challenge class was led by
