Formula 1's governing body the FIA has issued the 2017 entry list, which features four available seats following Nico Rosberg's shock decision to retire just last week.

Among the other free seats are Sauber, which has yet to confirm who will partner Marcus Ericsson, and both Manor seats.

Sauber are in advanced discussions with Pascal Wehrlein, but those talks are now on hold as the young German is evaluated for the second seat at Mercedes alongside Lewis Hamilton.

Meanwhile Manor's Esteban Ocon has joined Force India alongside Sergio Perez, leaving Manor with two vacant seats.

The only other notable 'TBC' on the list is that of Toro Rosso's engine supply. Although the Faenza-based team have confirmed a new deal to run Renault engines, having run year-old Ferrari power units in 2016, they have yet to decide whether to call them Renault, or join sister-team Red Bull in branding them 'Tag Heuer'.
