Next year’s pre-season FIA World Endurance Championship test at Monza has been pushed back by one week.
The date change was confirmed by the WEC, to avoid a clash with a the Pope’s visit to the Italian city.
Pope Francis will visit Monza from the 24-25 March, the original date of the WEC ‘prologue’.
It has now been pushed back to the 1-2 April, due to “obvious organisational and security reasons” according to the WEC.
The European Le Mans Series test from the 28-29 March at Monza remains unchanged.
The 2017 WEC season kicks off at the Silverstone circuit on the 16 April.
