Esteban Gutierrez has announced via social media that he will not be part of Haas F1 Team in 2017, bot hoped to announce his plans for the future "shortly".
In his post on Twitter, late on Thursday night, he said: “Dear friends, I want to share with you that I will no longer be with Haas F1 Team for next season.
"I want to thank all the team and staff, especially Gene Haas, for this opportunity to work with them. I wish them all the best.
"There are two races left, which I intend to enjoy to the fullest and as always, I’ll give my best.
"Special thanks to all my fans and supporters, you will always have a place in my heart.
"I hope to shortly share my plans for the future.”
The Mexican, who has partnered Romain Grosjean during Haas' debut season, looks set to be replaced at the American outfit by Kevin Magnussen, who is in turn to be replaced by Nico Hulkenberg at Renault.
This ultimately leaves Gutierrez without a drive for next season, although two spaces remain on the grid, at Manor and Sauber, who are yet to announce their line-ups for 2017.
Gutierrez is yet to register a point this season, finishing a frustrating 11th place on five occasions.
