BMW DTM driver Tom Blomqvist has joined the Extreme Speed Motorsports No.30 LMP2 driver line-up for the 6 Hours of Shanghai.
Blomqvist is on the entry list for the Jagonya Ayam-backed Ligier JS P2 Nissan alongside GP2 drivers Antonio Giovinazzi and Sean Gelael.
Giovinazzi and Gelael competed with former F1 driver Giedo van der Garde at the last round in Fuji, Japan, finishing fourth.
But Blomqvist will replace van der Garde and make his FIA World Endurance Championship debut in China, having just concluded his second DTM season with BMW.
Blomqvist will reunite with Giovinazzi and Gelael, who were team-mates at Carlin in Formula 3 during the 2014 season.
But the Anglo-Swede has experience with endurance racing already, after debuting in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup at the Nurburgring last month.
