Montreal and New York swapped as final Formula E calendar confirmed

The 2016/2017 Formula E calendar has been approved by the World Motor Sport Council, with several changes.

Ahead of the season opener in Hong Kong on the 9 October, a number of updates have been made to the final calendar.

The final two rounds in North America have swapped places. Montreal will now host the season finale with two races from the 29-30 July.

The New York round of the all-electric championship in Brooklyn has moved to the penultimate race weekend from the 15-16 July.

Meanwhile the two ‘TBA’ events on the provisional calendar have been removed, making it a 10-round, 12-race season.

The Hong Kong, Brussels, New York and Montreal races are still subject to circuit homologation.

Approved 2016/2017 calendar:

9 October – Hong Kong

12 November – Marrakesh

18 February – Buenos Aires

1 April – Mexico City

13 May – Monaco

20 May – Paris

10 June – Berlin

1 July – Brussels*

15 July – New York*

16 July – New York*

29 July – Montreal*

30 July – Montreal*

*subject to circuit homologation
