Tequila Patron ESM has confirmed changes to its LMP2 driver line-up in the FIA World Endurance Championship for the remainder of the 2016 season.
The team has announced new title sponsorship from KFC Indonesia for the No.30 car, with Jagonya Ayam-backed drivers Antonio Giovinazzi and Sean Gelael joining the line-up.
The two GP2 racers will be joined by ex-F1 driver Giedo van der Garde, who is currently racing in the European Le Mans Series with G-Drive Racing.
The new line-up will debut at the next FIA WEC round at the Fuji Speedway in Japan and will also drive at the final two races in Shanghai and Bahrain.
The No.31 car will be unchanged for the rest of 2016, retaining its driver line-up of Ryan Dalziel, Pipo Derani and Chris Cumming.
“Jagonya Ayam expressed interest in getting a taste of a P2 program, and we already had the car, crew and full season entry,” team owner Scott Sharp said.
Jagonya Ayam sporting manager Francesco Principe added: “We are really proud to be part of this program with a professional team such as Tequila Patrón ESM.
“The cars look competitive and we are confident our line-up will do their best during each session.”
