Three GP2 drivers have been handed penalties by the stewards for incidents during the feature race at the Monza circuit.
Arthur Pic was given a three-place grid penalty for Sunday’s sprint race for causing a collision with Sergio Canamasas at the second Lesmo corner.
The French driver hit the inside kerb and ran wide into Canamasas’s Carlin, as the Spaniard was trying to overtake. His car was pitched into a roll.
The stewards deemed Pic was at fault for the contact. Both drivers were OK but Pic has been given a three-place grid drop.
Jimmy Eriksson was awarded a five-second time penalty for forcing Marvin Kirchhofer off track during the race at the first corner.
He finished the race in 14th place and the time penalty drops him behind Kirchhofer to 18th.
Finally, Sean Gelael picked up a 10-secon stop/go penalty for failing to slow for double waves yellow flags, having set his best sector times under safety car.
He passed the pitlane more than twice and failed to serve the penalty within the required time frame, so he was shown the black flag on the last lap.
