British driver Dean Stoneman is one of three drivers confirmed to test with Andretti Autosport at the Watkins Glen IndyCar test next month.
The team will field all three of its Indy Lights drivers at the test, with Stoneman being joined by Dalton Kellett and Shelby Blackstock.
Stoneman will take over Ryan Hunter-Reay’s No.28 car, with Kellett and Blackstock driving the No.26 and No.27 Andrettis.
The IndyCar test at Watkins Glen takes place on the 11 August, with the three Indy Lights racers sharing the cars with Andretti’s race drivers.
“I can't wait to get into Ryan's car for the IndyCar test," Stoneman said. “I came to Indy Lights with a view of moving up to IndyCar, which has always been the goal that I'm working on for 2017, so the test will give everybody some indication of my ability.”
Commenting on the news, team boss Michael Andretti said: “We're proud of the role Andretti Autosport has played over the years in the Mazda Road to Indy program, and I applaud the efforts of the program in helping to develop future IndyCar drivers.
“By giving Dean, Shelby and Dalton an opportunity to test our IndyCars, we can help do our part in building a stronger future not just for our team, but for the sport and industry as a whole."
