Mahindra have become the first team to publically confirm it has trialled Formula E's "futuristic" new front-wing design, which is set to be introduced for the third season of Formula E.
The design sees the nose connected not only by two lower pylons, but by an additional top-wing which swoops down and connects to the lower-wing's endplates.
The change is purely for aesthetic reasons as the all-electric sport looks to appeal to a younger audience.
The Mahindra team tested the wing design at the Spanish Calafat circuit. It's believed rival teams have also begin to trial the wing, with the possibility of small aero gains to be made.
It's one of a number of upgrades to be introduction for the 2016/17 season, which also include lighter tyres and a new steering wheel.
From season five, which will run through 2018/19, a new chassis will be introduced, with the tender calling for a futuristic design.
