MS Amlin Andretti has announced Robin Frijns will remain at the team for the third Formula E season in 2016/2017.
Frijns made his debut in the all-electric series at the start of the second season and is currently 10th in the drivers’ championship ahead of the finale in London this weekend.
The Dutch racer scored Amlin Andretti’s fourth Formula E podium earlier in the second season at the Putrajaya ePrix, finishing in third place.
He is the first driver to be confirmed for season three by the team, with the second seat remaining open.
"I’m a loyal person if I feel comfortable and happy where I am at," he said. "I stayed with the same karting team for 10 years. I enjoy all the people I work with at Andretti and I am comfortable with the team, so why change.
"With season three coming, you never know where your team is going to be compared to other teams. I guess we’ll find out in qualifying at Hong Kong. But I think if you enjoy the people you work with that’s most important."
