Nico Rosberg topped the second practice session for the Spanish Grand Prix, displacing the Ferraris which had topped the opening session in the morning.
The Mercedes driver posted a best lap of 1m23.922s, just a couple of hundredths better than Sebastian Vettel managed in the morning, to put himself two-tenths clear of Kimi Raikkonen in second.
Lewis Hamilton meanwhile finished third fastest, albeit seven-tenths adrift of his team-mate, to split the Ferraris with Vettel fourth.
Carlos Sainz put himself ahead of both Red Bulls as he looked to prove a point following Max Verstappen's promotion to the sister team over himself. Sainz was fifth with Daniel Ricciardo sixth and Verstappen eighth behind the McLaren of Fernando Alonso.
The Force India duo completed the top ten with near identical times, putting the pair 1.5s down on the quickest lap.
The session saw one red flag after Renault's Jolyon Palmer suffered a puncture. Oddly enough Esteban Ocon driving the same car during FP1 had the same issue, which will be of some concern to the team.
Romain Grosjean, P13, was unhappy during the session, describing his Haas as "undriveable" before using an expletive to describe their setup direction.
