Honda Repsol rider Marc Marquez topped the timesheets in third practice for this weekend’s MotoGP round in Argentina.
The Spaniard finished the 45-minute session quickest with a 1m40.368s despite several late errors, including a fall at the first corner.
Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo bounced back from a difficult Friday and ended FP3 in second place, just 0.024 seconds behind Marquez. Ducati's Andrea Iannone was third.
Hector Barbera was fourth after a last-minute effort, with the Suzuki duo of Maverick Vinales and Aleix Espargaro were fifth and seventh. The other works Honda rider, Dani Pedrosa, split Vinales and Espargaro in sixth.
Times tumbled throughout FP3 as the riders completed their final running prior to qualifying in Argentina. Cal Crutchlow was eighth in the session and Andrea Dovizioso ended the session ninth.
Valentino Rossi just snuck into the top 10 in third practice, narrowly beating Jack Miller to secure the final automatic position in the second qualifying session.
Pol Espargaro, Bradley Smith and Loris Baz were next up, the former two riding Yamaha machines and the latter on his Ducati.
