29 of the 32 cars racing in this year's FIA World Endurance Championship have been entered to the collective pre-season test – The Prologue – at Paul Ricard later this month.

The Prologue marks the beginning of the new WEC season, featuring five sessions across two days as well as launches from Porsche, Audi and Toyota on March 25 and 26.

Both Audi and Toyota will only take one of their two LMP1 cars to Paul Ricard for the Prologue, while Aston Martin Racing is also fielding just a solitary GTE-Pro Vantage. The remaining cars entered to this year's championship will be in attendance.

The test will also mark the first public on-track appearance of the WEC-spec Ford GT courtesy of the Ford Chip Ganassi Team, new to the championship for 2016.

"The Prologue has now become an established part of the WEC calendar and is greatly anticipated by both media and fans alike," WEC CEO Gerard Neveu said.

"Our manufacturer partners and teams take this opportunity to reveal their 2016 cars to a growing number of international media each year, and of course it is the first chance for all the competitors to test themselves against their rivals.

"For fans in France and beyond it is a fantastic event, with an open paddock, autograph session and pit walk on Saturday.  The friendly and open spirit of the WEC begins here at The Prologue and we welcome everyone."
