The Mahindra Racing Formula E team has invited fans to submit their own designs for a circuit that could host an Indian ePrix in the future.
The competition asks supporters to share their own designs for track layouts on Twitter and Facebook, following a video invitation from team boss Dilbagh Gill.
Mahindra recently completed a demo event at the Buddh International Circuit, the former venue of the Indian Grand Prix, last month.
The team received a letter of intent recently from the Delhi government with their support for a Formula E race in the city of New Delhi in the future.
The chance to design a circuit or track on the roads of New Delhi has now been opened up to the fans in the form of Mahindra’s competition.
"We are looking for a track that is approximately two to three kilometres long, with 8 to 12 turns and space for a pit lane and our garages," Gill said.
"We are inviting fans to share their ideas on Facebook and Twitter. It can be a sketch, a map, a photo or simply a piece of writing, but we want to accelerate this project and get the race to India.
"We have also reserved some exciting prizes for our favourite ideas, so I am looking forward to see what all the Mahindra Racing fans out there come up with."
