Renault has ended its second day of Formula 1 pre-season testing at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya early after a technical problem.
Jolyon Palmer completed 42 laps before he was forced to park the Renault RS16 at the exit of Turn 2 wth smoke pouring from the back of his car.
Done for the day, but 42 laps is better than 37 laps. Moving in the right direction at least 👠#feelingpositive pic.twitter.com/WY3MwP0E9x

New team-mate Kevin Magnussen will get his first run in the new Renault on Wednesday, taking over from Palmer.
