Trident has completed its driver line-up for the 2016 GP2 season, announcing Philo Paz Armand will race for the team.
The Indonesian will partner last year’s GP3 runner-up Luca Ghiotto, who was confirmed at the Italian outfit earlier this week.
Armand started his single-seater career in Formula Renault 2.0, racing in the BARC winter championship in 2012, before finishing 28th in the NEC series.
In 2014 he placed 18th in FR2.0 Alps and also competed in four Eurocup rounds. He stepped up to Formula Renault 3.5 last year with Pons Racing, racing nine times and scoring a best finish of 10th in Monaco.
"We are very excited to start this collaboration with Philo and we are confident he will express all his talent thanks to the team’s help," said team manager Giacomo Ricci.
