Michael Schumacher’s manager has branded a recent report that the seven-time world champion is walking again as “irresponsible” and “not true”.
A report in German magazine Bunte claims a source close to Schumacher had revealed that the former Ferrari driver is now able to walk with the help of his therapists and could raise an arm by himself.
His long-time manager, Sabine Kehm, denied the ‘story’, claiming it to be untrue, adding that such information gave fans “false hope”.
“Unfortunately, we are forced by a recent press report to clarify the assertion that Michael could move again is not true,” Kehm confirmed in a statement.
“Such speculation is irresponsible, because given the seriousness of his injuries, his privacy is very important for Michael. Unfortunately they also give false hope to many involved people.”
Bunte insists it stands by its story and the claims contained within.
