British driver Jake Dennis will compete in the 2016 GP3 season with Arden International.

The Racing Steps Foundation-backed racer drove in the European Formula 3 Championship last season with Prema, finishing third overall after scoring six wins.

It was his second year in the series, having placed ninth overall in 2014 with Carlin. He previously won the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC championship in 2012 and placed fourth in the Eurocup category in 2013.

Dennis will also contest in the 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours with Jota Sport, as one of the drivers of its Gibson 015S-Nissan LMP2 car. He will make his endurance debut at May’s 6 Hours of Spa.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for me – an absolute win-win situation for sure," Dennis, who previously tested for Arden, said.

"Not only do I get to take another step up the single-seater ladder with one of the top teams in GP3 but I also get my first taste of endurance racing with a Le Mans LMP2 class-winning team as well.

"I can't thank the RSF, Arden and Jota Sport enough for setting this up for me. The chances it gives me to showcase what I'm capable of in front of probably the two biggest audiences in motorsport will be invaluable as I progress my career."
