The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has confirmed it will be the sole host of pre-season testing in 2016, with a pair of four-day tests scheduled for the beginning of the year.
The first test will kick-off on February 22, whilst the second starts just four days after the first test has concluded, giving teams very little time to make adjustments should they discover major problems.
There will be just two tests, unlike the in previous seasons when Jerez or Bahrain has hosted a third.
Circuit officials have confirmed that holders of race tickets for the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix will be given free access to all eight days of pre-season testing, while tickets can also be purchased at the track for each day.
The opening race of the season is scheduled for March 20 at Melbourne’s Albert Park.
