Lewis Hamilton was forced to cancel his flight to Brazil on Tuesday due to illness, but he won’t miss the race according to his team.
The Briton, who has already wrapped up the 2015 title, was due to arrive in Brazil on Tuesday to take part in a media event, but cancelled his flight and the event.
Rumours that he would miss the race ensued, but Mercedes have confirmed he will now fly out on Wednesday evening on doctors advice.
“He’s not going to miss the race,” spokesman said. “He’s going to be a day late… the doctor advised him to cancel the earlier flight so he missed a press conference today.”
Hamilton recently said he would go “all out” to win in Brazil – one of just three circuits on the current calendar he is yet to stand on the top step of the podium.
