Nico Rosberg topped the final practice session ahead of qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix, whilst team-mate Lewis Hamilton was slowest.

Key Points from FP3:

– The Mercedes duo were bookends on the timing screens as Rosberg’s 1:15.660 put him quickest, whilst Hamilton stuggled to put a lap together, placing him slowest and last.

– Kimi Raikkonen was second fastest for Ferrari, six-tenths down on the Mercedes.

– Romain Grosjean continued to impress, placing his Lotus third fastest, albeit a second down on Rosberg.

– Whilst Hamilton failed to set a representative lap time due to various stoppages, Sebastian Vettel suffered as well, ending up eighth quickest.

– The first red flag was caused by Felipe Nasr. He lost control when he was weaving to warm his tyres, hitting the wall and heavily damaging his Sauber.

– A second red flag was caused by Jenson Button’s McLaren coming to a half with just five minutes of the session remaining.

– Fernando Alonso also hit trouble and completed just three laps, placing him 18th ahead of Roberto Merhi and Hamilton.
