McLaren’s 2015 MP4-30 livery will be changing in the future, chairman Ron Dennis has stated, but he refused to confirm when.
The team launched their car last week with a familiar black, silver and red livery to many fans disappointment. Many had expected something new or a retro livery to mark their Honda reunion.
However, with team trucks bearing no branding at all, speculation that a livery change was on the cards abounded and has now been confirmed by Dennis.
“Our 2015 livery will change, but I’m not going to say when,” he teased reporters in Jerez on the first day of testing.
Could McLaren have finally landed a title sponsor with a livery to match for the first race in Australia? Only time will tell.
Meanwhile McLaren took to Twitter to ask its fans what colour scheme they preferred, asking to choose between a traditional orange test livery or a retro red and white livery.
