Ferrari has restructured its engine department in the wake of a disappointing season which has seen it unable to match Mercedes.
The Italian outfit has removed engine chief Luca Marmorini and instead promoted Mattia Binotto to chief operating officer.
He will work closely with technical director James Allison, who remains in charge of designing the 2015 challenger with assistance from chief chassis designer Nikolas Tombazis.
Lorenzo Sassi retains his position as chief designer of the power unit.
It comes as team principal Marco Mattiacci said the team needs to “improve at 360-degrees”.
