FP3: Red Bull duo quickest during wet session

The typical British weather returned to Silverstone on Saturday bringing with it light rain which doused the track in a thin layer of water ahead of final practice.

It was Sebastian Vettel who made the most of the conditions when the rain stopped and the track began to dry, whilst team-mate Daniel Ricciardo was second quickest by just a tenth.

Pastor Maldonado and Romain Grosjean took third and fourth despite a spin for the Frenchman along the start/finish straight which almost saw him collide with the pit wall.

As the rain began to fall again, the times looked unlikely to improve, but both Adrian Sutil and Daniil Kvyat managed to jump up a few spots to fifth and sixth, pushing Kevin Magnussen into seventh.

Jules Bianchi wasn’t as lucky as Grosjean however, as the Marussia man ended up in the Stowe tyre wall.

Four drivers failed to set a timed lap, including the Mercedes pair. They both opted to complete a handful of installation laps before sitting in the garage for much of the session.
