Toro Rosso has been handed a suspended €10,000 (£8,000, $13,500) fine for a tyre mishap during the opening practice session.
In 2014, teams are handed an extra set of prime tyres which can be used in the first 30 minutes of the session, but not after.
Jean-Eric Vergne was found to have breached the 30 minute limit by a few seconds and therefore breached the regulations.
The fine is suspended and only has to be paid if the team repeat the offence before the end of the season.
A statement issued by the FIA stated: “The competitor admitted the infringement and sought to mitigate.
“Having considered the facts the stewards accepted that the infringement was inadvertent and no advantage was gained as a result.
“In the circumstances, the stewards decided that a suspended penalty was appropriate for the infringement.”
