Stefano Domenicali could once again be a regular in the Formula 1 paddock, despite having resigned from his team principal position at Ferrari earlier this month.
The Italian has already been linked to a role with Italy’s national basketball team, but a position at Gene Haas’ new American F1 team might be on the cards.
Günther Steiner, a former Red Bull chief technical officer who is now working with Haas on his 2015 F1 project, revealed that talks between Domenicali and Haas will likely take place.
“I have no idea what he’s doing or if he has something but we will certainly talk to him,” he is quoted as saying.
Meanwhile another former F1 regular could be on the horizon as Auto Bild reports that former Mercedes motorsport boss Norbert Haug is being considered for the role.
Steiner described them both as “good people” who could be “very valuable” to the new project, but refused to confirm which was favourite.
