Williams will replace the Senna double ‘S’ sticker, which has been a feature on the nose of every Williams since Ayrton Senna’s death at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix, with a new 20th anniversary logo.
The logo is a mark of respect to the Brazilian and this year marks the 20th anniversary since his passing.
Speaking about the new decal, which will feature on the left-side of the FW36’s nose, co-founder Sir Frank Williams said: “I was very close to Ayrton and the iconic double S logo has been a mainstay on our cars since his death 20 years ago.
“This new logo is our way of celebrating his achievements as a racing driver, and also the sterling work of his Foundation which is doing so much to promote educational opportunities in Brazil.”
The design, created by the Ayrton Senna Foundation, features the words “Ayrton Senna Always”. It will also be used during various events to remember the three time champion.
