Adrian Sutil made his second visit to the Sauber factory this week to undergo his seat fitting for the 2014 chassis ahead of the Christmas break.
The German will race for the Swiss team next year having chosen to leave Force India – his home since he joined F1 in 2007 when the team was named Spyker.
Speaking to the official F1 website, he said his aim was to secure a podium finish, something Sauber achieved in 2012, but failed to do this year.
“I’m convinced that we will have a successful time – and I’m looking very much forward to my first podium!
“Sauber have had some podiums in the past and that is exactly what I want,” he said.
Sauber recently became the first team to confirm it had passed all the FIA’s static and dynamic crash tests.
