Lewis Hamilton has ruled out further victories for him or team-mate Nico Rosberg this season, claiming Red Bull are simply too far ahead.
The Mercedes driver has one win to his name, whilst Rosberg has two, and despite showing good form earlier in the season, Mercedes haven’t managed a podium finish in four races.
When asked if he could win one of the final four grands prix, he replied: “No. We have stopped developing the car and Red Bull are a long way ahead.
“That is not going to happen. But we can get some really solid points, and I reckon we can get back on the podium.”
Vettel chalked up his eighth win of the season and his fifth in a row last time out in Japan, prompting Hamilton to see no reason why the German won’t win the next remaining races.
“If he doesn’t have any reliability issues, [which is] most likely, then why not? I am willing to put money on it. He’s just walking it.”
