Mark Webber has been given a 10-place grid penalty for the Korean Grand Prix after he incurred his third reprimand of the season.
Under new regulations, three reprimands now equals a grid penalty at the next event.
Webber was penalised for endangering others after he walked onto the track at the end of the race to catch a lift with Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso after his Red Bull broke down.
Alonso was also given a reprimand for his actions which resulted in Mercedes’s Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton having to take action to avoid an accident.
The stewards report explained that Alonso “drove the car in a manner which could be deemed potentially dangerous to other drivers or any other person. In this case, two cars had to take avoiding action as a result.”
