Sebastian Vettel dominated the second practice session for the Italian Grand Prix to pull ahead of his closest rivals by six tenths.
The German was in ‘the zone’ and looked comfortably quickest as he put his RB9 ahead of team-mate Mark Webber – who suffered a KERS failure early on in the session.
The gap behind Webber to Red Bull’s rivals wasn’t so great, with both Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean setting identical times just four thousandths slower.
Fernando Alonso was fifth quickest, just ahead of FP1 leader Lewis Hamilton and the second Mercedes of Nico Rosberg.
Felipe Massa, Jenson Button and Sergio Perez rounded off the top ten.
