Sebastian Vettel was the quickest man on Saturday morning as he once again topped the timing screens during practice for his home race, the German Grand Prix.
He led fellow countryman Nico Rosberg by over six tenths of a second to affirm his position at the top, whils team-mate Mark Webber was just shy of Rosberg’s best.
Fernando Alonso was back on form for Ferrari after the struggled at Silverstone and during FP1, though the Spaniard was over a second slower with Felipe Massa a little firther back.
Positions fourth to 12th were covered covered by just over seven tenths in what was a very close session. The midfield battle again looks to be hotting up with Toro Rosso falling back a little to 14th and 16th.
