The hot topic at present is whether Mark Webber will leave Red Bull, or even Formula 1, at the end of the current season.
An unreliable report in the Daily Star claims ‘close-friends’ have leaked that he has confided in them and revealed that he will leave F1 at the end of 2013 to return home to Australia.
Others report that he has signed a deal with the Porsche WEC team – however it’s believed nothing has been firmly agreed just yet.
However should he leave, Gary Anderson and David Coulthard have tipped Kimi Raikkonen to take his seat at Red Bull for 2014.
“I believe he [Raikkonen] is a perfect fit for Red Bull,” Anderson told the BBC. “I wouldn’t be surprised if negotiations were well down the road for this to happen.”
Meanwhile former Red Bull driver Coulthard agrees.
“If Mark decides to do something else, in my view Kimi would be the perfect team-mate for Sebastian.”
Raikkonen meanwhile remains quiet on his future past his current contract with Lotus.
“I don’t have a contract [after 2013],” he told Turun Sanomat, “but at some point I have to think about it.
“I want to win, and at least for the moment, I want to be here [at Lotus].”
Adding to the speculation, Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz recently voiced his opinion on the matter, adding that Raikkonen is always on his radar as a possible candidate for a seat.
