Kimi Raikkonen proved Lotus’s Australian Grand Prix win wasn’t a one-off as he continued there good form in Malaysia to go quickest during the second practice session.
It certainly wasn’t a dominant performance with both Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari’s Felipe Massa within a tenth of the Finn.
The top six cars were however dominated by Lotus, Red Bull and Ferrari, whilst Mercedes looked the fourth fastest team, albeit almost a second down.
Paul di Resta split Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton who in turn split the two Force India cars.
The session was largely error free other than some minor offs as the gentle rain caught a few out. Romain Grosjean ran wide across the grass in the closing minutes.
Further back and it was McLaren once again struggling for pace in 11th and 12th whilst Jules Bianchi was once again the fastest of the new team drivers.
