Romain Grosjean was quickest during the second day of testing in Jerez on Wednesday for Lotus.
The Frenchman concentrated on short runs in the afternoon to post a 1:18.218, six tenths quicker than Jenson Button’s leading time on Tuesday.
The main story came from Mercedes’ woes after a braking issues saw Lewis Hamilton in the barriers on his first outing in the W04. He completed just 15 laps before the team had to withdraw from the session to investigate the cause further.
