Giedo van der Garde has confirmed he has secured the second seat at Caterham for 2013, alongside the already signed Charles Pic.

The Leafield-based outfit will start the season with an entirely new line-up – which is the same case for their closest rival Marussia.

The 27-year-old has experience at Caterham having driven for them during six practice sessions throughout the 2012 season.

He is the first Dutch driver to compete in F1 since Christian Albers drove for Spyker in 2007.
