FanVision will not be available throughout the 2013 Formula 1 season, the company has confirmed after failing to agree terms with Formula One Management.
The handheld streaming service, formerly known as Kangaroo TV, is a popular service providing fans with additional data such as on-board cameras, radio commentary and statistical data.
The company will leave F1 and described the news as a “big blow” in a statement on Thursday.
“As you know we have, for some months, been trying to find the basis of an agreement between FanVision and FOM in order to continue providing the service in F1 in 2013,” it read.
“Unfortunately it is now clear that we are not going to be able to agree terms with FOM and very reluctantly we have to confirm that we won’t be in F1 in 2013. It’s a big blow for us.”
It hasn’t been confirmed if FOM will provide their own, similar service in 2013.
