The thrilling 2012 season has finally come to an end. Sebastian Vettel reigned supreme once again, but how did he compare to his team-mate?
We’ve compiled five statistics for each driver duo to see how they compare to their team-mate; points, qualifying results, race results, amount of wins and podiums (not including wins).
Whilst it doesn’t give a definitive answer, as some drivers have suffered unfortunate accidents caused by others, whilst others haven’t had reliability on their side, it gives a good overview of how each driver compares to their counterpart.
We did the same at the halfway point in the year (see here), and a lot has changed. Vettel and Webber were very closely matched after round 10, but that all changed in the latter half of the season.
Felipe Massa clawed back some dignity in the latter stage, but he couldn’t come close to Fernando Alonso’s dominant form.
