Hamilton on pole as McLaren take Brazil 1-2

Lewis Hamilton continued his recent good form by taking pole position for the Brazilian GP, with Jenson Button making it an all McLaren front row.

However in the championship fight it’s advantage Sebastian Vettel, as he will start from fourth on the grid behind team mate Mark Webber.

Title rival Fernando Alonso could only manage eighth three places behind team mate Felipe Massa who starts fifth.

Pastor Maldonado and Nico Hulkenberg had a very strong session, and will start in sixth and seventh place.

Kimi Raikkonen and Nico Rosberg round up the top ten in ninth and tenth.

Romain Grosjean was the shock of Q1, as his session went wrong after making contact with Pedro De La Rosa.

There is was no fairytale grid slot for Michael Schumacher as he could only manage 13th. Paul Di Resta and Bruno Senna just missed out on Q3 and will start in 11th and 12th respectively.
