Red Bull’s outspoken advisor Helmut Marko doesn’t believe the Ferrari F2012 is as bad as the team and its drivers are making out.
The Italian outfit have won three races thanks to Fernando Alonso – just two less than Sebastian Vettel and one less than Lewis Hamilton.
That includes the German Grand Prix in which the Spaniard secured pole position, albeit in the rain, and then went on to win the race ahead of Vettel.
“Who had the best car at Hockenheim?” Marko asked rhetorically.
“The Ferrari is not as bad as everyone says it is,” he insisted to Bild.
Though the Austrian admits Alonso may not have had the best car, he certainly hasn’t been driving a “blunt weapon.”
“Maybe Fernando has not always had the fastest car, but he has certainly had a very good one throughout the season,” he added.
“If he says he is fighting with blunt weapons, then I think he really is whining on a very high level.”
