GP2 champion Davide Valsecchi topped the final days testing in Abu Dhabi for the Lotus team with a fastest lap of 1:42.677.
The Italian driver completed 86 laps in the winning E20 to put him ahead of day one leader Kevin Magnussen – with McLaren once again topping the laps completed by sharing duties between the Danish driver and test driver Oliver Turvey.
Sauber reserve and rumoured second driver for 2013 placed third fastest ahead of Robert Frijns for Red Bull who climbed back behind the wheel after driving the RB8 on Tuesday.
Luiz Razia was suffering from the flu but soldiered on to go sixth quickest for Toro Rosso ahead of American Alexander Rossi for Caterham who suffered an oil leak midway through the session.
