The FIA have announced that there will be a minute’s applause before the Singapore Grand Prix on Sunday to honour the late Professor Sid Watkins.
The former-FIA Formula 1 doctor passed away last week at the age of 84.
A book will also be passed round the paddock for team members and drivers to sign. This will then be passed to the Watkins family at a later date.
A more permanent tribute will also be considered by the FIA, the governing body confirmed in a statement.
“The FIA and the FIA Institute will continue to consider the most appropriate permanent tribute to Professor Watkins, in recognition of his achievements and his unique legacy for motor sport.”
