Felipe Massa aims to return to the podium for the first time in two years after securing his best qualifying position in as long.
The Brazilian qualified third behind the McLarens and says he understands the pressures he is under to deliver a great result on Sunday as speculation regarding his seat at Ferrari mounts.
“I think I know the pressure I have,” said Massa. “You always have a lot of pressure, and just need to concentrate on the race. It is an important race tomorrow for me and the team; let’s concentrate on that. When you race for Ferrari you have a lot of pressure.”
Whilst he stands in good stead for a podium finish, Massa is aiming to beat the McLarens of Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button to secure his first win since the 2008 Brazilian GP.
“[McLaren] are strong and quick; we know how different the race is compared to qualifying so I’ll do everything I can.
“I am happy with the car. I am very happy with the performance and concentrated for the race,” he added.
“I hope we have fantastic race tomorrow.”
