Lotus fully expect to retain both Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean after the current season, according to team principal Eric Boullier.
The former has been linked to a return to Ferrari for 2013 as a replacement for Felipe Massa. However, both Boullier and Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali believe it unlikely.
“It is nice that Ferrari is in the newspapers, but I don’t know that Kimi has plans to go back to Ferrari,” said Boullier on Monday.
When probed on whether or not Lotus would have the same drivers next season, he replied: “Definitely. There is no reason for them to leave.”
Domenicali says the speculation is nothing more than that.
“Kimi was a world champion with us and I saw the speculation in the media but it’s nothing more than that,” he confirmed.
