Timo Glock has been given permission to race on Sunday despite failing to compete in qualifying due to illness.
The Marussia team confirmed on Saturday morning that the German was too ill to participate in qualifying – because of that it was uncertain as to whether the FIA would allow him to race having not qualified.
However, in a statement, the governing body confirmed they had offered special dispensation to Glock to compete on Sunday pending the outcome of a medical check by the FIA Medical Delegate.”
Glock will start 24th if he’s well enough.
