Lewis Hamilton admitted to being unhappy with his cars balance on Friday in Valencia during practice for the European Grand Prix.
The McLaren driver, who won a fortnight ago in Canada, concedes he and the team headed in the wrong direction with set-up during FP1 and FP2.
“I haven’t been happy with the car today, but you can’t always get it right,” he told Sky Sports F1.
“I think this year we’ve been pretty good with getting the balance right throughout practice on Friday and having nice, smooth days, but today hasn’t been one of those days.”
The 27-year-old, though, is confident it can be turned around during FP3 after a raft of changes were made to his car on Friday evening.
“I think we know what the problem and I’ve just made all the changes to the car so I’m quite confident that overnight the problems will be rectified and tomorrow will be better.”
